Maedi-Visna Program

Stonehill Sheep enrolled in the Maedi-Visna Flock Status Program in 2006 and currently maintains an “A” or “Closed” status, signifying the flock continues to be free of Maedi-Visna.

Scrapie-Resistance

We breed stock to promote optimal resistance to Scrapie, and test stock for genotype before sale. All of our stud rams are sold with the AA RR RR genotype.
